What happens to what you send, in plain terms
The short version
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party — not even the fonts, which are served from this domain. Nobody is tracked here. The only personal information NMC Sports Therapy holds about you is what you choose to type into the contact form, and that arrives as an email and stays in an inbox. There is no database behind this site.
Who is responsible
NMC Sports Therapy — Joshua Silvera, a sole trader based in London — is the data controller for the information described here. That means he decides what is collected and what happens to it, and he is the person to ask about it.
To ask anything about your information, or to have it deleted, email josh@nmcsportstherapy.com or message +44 7756 794668 on WhatsApp.
What the contact form collects
The form asks for four things and offers a fifth:
- Your name and email address, both required, so Josh can reply.
- Your phone number and the area you are in, both optional. The area matters because private sessions are mobile across West London, so it decides whether a session is practical at all.
- What you are dealing with — a free text box. What goes in it is entirely up to you.
Nothing else is collected. The form does not record your IP address, your browser, or where you came from.
About that last box
If you describe an injury, a symptom, a condition or anything else about your body, that is health information, and data protection law treats it as a special category that deserves more care than an email address does. Two things follow from that.
First, send only as much as you want Josh to know before a first conversation. A sentence about what is bothering you is enough to work out whether a session makes sense and what it would look like. Detailed medical history is better discussed in person, at an assessment, than typed into a web form.
Second, by submitting the form you are consenting to Josh receiving and reading whatever you have chosen to put in it, and using it to answer you. You can withdraw that consent at any time by asking him to delete the message — see Your rights below.
Where it goes
When you press send, the form posts to this same domain over an encrypted connection. It is passed to a small piece of code hosted on Amazon Web Services in the London region, which does one job: it turns your message into an email and sends it to josh@nmcsportstherapy.com, an inbox hosted by Zoho Mail. The reply address on that email is yours, so Josh can answer you directly.
That code stores nothing and writes none of your details to its logs. It records only that an enquiry was sent, never who sent it or what it said. Once the email is on its way, no copy remains anywhere in the system that received it.
Amazon Web Services and Zoho are therefore the two companies that handle your message on the way through, as processors acting on NMC's instructions. Nothing is passed to anyone else, and nothing is ever sold, shared for advertising, or used to build a profile of you.
Why this is allowed
Handling your name, email, phone and area is justified as taking steps at your request before entering into a contract — you asked about a session, so answering you needs your contact details. Where you have volunteered health information, the basis is your explicit consent, given by choosing to include it.
How long it is kept
Enquiries live in Josh's inbox. If a message does not turn into work, it is deleted within a year. If it does, the correspondence is kept for as long as there is a working relationship, and for six years afterwards — which is how long a professional practice ordinarily needs to be able to answer a question about work it did.
You do not have to wait for any of that. Ask, and it goes.
Session notes
This page covers the website. If you go on to book, the assessment and session notes Josh keeps as part of the work are a separate matter, and he will explain how those are held and how long they are kept when you first meet.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see what is held about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict what is done with it, to object to it being used, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Where the basis is your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time, and doing so does not affect anything done before you did.
Ask by email or WhatsApp using the details above. There is no charge, and the answer should come within a month.
If you are not happy with how a request was handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. Raising it with Josh first is usually quicker.
Changes
If how any of this works changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves. Last updated 21 August 2026.
